NEW YORK (PIX11) – With one storm in the books, several storms are coming just around the corner that could not only give some snow, but freezing rain, sleet and rain as well. Today’s storm dropped around 6-9” of snow for a good swath of the region.
By Tuesday night into Wednesday, another storm will approach the northeast. Winter storm watches have already been issued in anticipation. As we see it now, 4-7” of snow is a possibility before some freezing rain and sleet mixes in at times during the morning. Upwards of 10” is possible for areas north and west of the city. This upcoming storm will affect both the morning and evening rush. With icing a concern, the loss of power will be a concern along with the slick roads.
Beyond Wednesday, another storm will threaten on Sunday February 9th with more snow and perhaps a wintry mix. There will also be a chance as far out as February 15th. Stay tuned, its going to be a wild first half of the month.
