Chuck in the past bit Mayor Michael Bloomberg, which pretty much soured their relationship afterward. Bill de Blasio got his first crack at handling Chuck Sunday morning, and while hizzoner escaped with his hands unscathed — protected by huge orange gloves — he did manage to let Chuck squirm out of his mitts and fall.

Chuck and Bill were both fine, and the only victims — if you believe groundhog myth — are New Yorkers, who are now saddled with six more weeks of cold and snow.
