Massive NJ power outage affecting thousands of customers in Bergen, Hudson Counties

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A massive power outage has left more than ten thousand customers in New Jersey without electricity Monday evening.

According to PSE&G, more than 11,000 customers are without power — some 7000 in Hudson County and 4,000 in southeast Bergen County.

The outage is similar to one last Friday that was caused by a transformer explosion.

PSE&G has not confirmed the cause of Monday’s outage.
