NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – Rutgers new athletic director sat down with the parents of Jevon Tyree to discuss the alleged bullying case for the first time — the case that led to Tyree quitting the team.

A reverend set up the meeting in a church between AD Julie Hermann and Tyree’s parents.

It came after a week of allegations by the family who claimed the university never properly addressed their son’s situation.

Rutgers released a statement saying both sides met to resolve the issues.

Tyree left the Rutgers football team after claiming he had been bullied by defensive coordinator Dave Cohen.
