NEW YORK (PIX11) – Eleven bikers, including an undercover officer, have been indicted and now face serious felonies in the mob attack of an SUV driver, according to court papers obtained by PIX11.
Veteran undercover officer Wojciech Braszczok, 32, and nine others, face charges of gang assault in the first degree for their role in the Sep. 29 beating that left Alexian Lien hospitalized with serious injuries. The ten bikers now face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
Biker Christopher Cruz, who was initially bumped by Lien’s Range Rover after slowing down sharply on the West Side Highway, was not charged with gang assault. He faces a charge of criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony punishable by one to three years in prison.
The 14-count indictment also includes charges of assault, coercion, riot and weapon possession.
