NEW YORK (PIX11) – What is “Molly” and could it have played a role in the Garden State Plaza shooting that ended with a well-liked young man killing himself?

Molly was 20-year-old Richard Shoop’s drug of choice, according to Bergen County law enforcement.

Molly is MDMA, also known as Ecstasy, Adam, E, Roll or X.  It’s a stimulant and a hallucinogenic, and is used at clubs and raves to keep people going during the night.  Because of its hallucinogenic properties it enhances sights and sounds
