Staten Island (PIX11)–  A bunch of companies are lining up for the naming rights for what will be the world’s largest Ferris wheel

Seven companies want a piece of the New York wheel says CEO Rich Marin.

He says they are in the final process with those companies and they hope to have a winner by the end of the year.

The New York wheel will be 625 feet tall and will have views of the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan skyline and the New York Harbor.

For each 38-minute ride, it will be a carry 1,440 people in 36 carts.

The wheel is expected to open in 2016.
