A cold front will be approaching the area tonight with a few light showers possible into the wee hours of the morning. We are expecting generally light amount with no more than a .25″ of rainfall. Keep in mind that we could use a little rain. The last time we got any significant rainfall was back in the September 22nd. Since September 1st, we are running a deficit of nearly 4″ of rainfall. Overnight lows will be in the mid 50s.

The showers should depart before the morning rush and skies will begin clear out by tomorrow afternoon. The winds will be gusting to around 25 mph at times. Afternoon highs will not be as mild as today with temperatures in the upper 60s to around 70 in a few spots. By Saturday, clouds will increase as another wave of low pressure arrives. Again the rain should arrive late at night and depart by daybreak on Sunday. Highs will be in the upper 60s. The cold front with this system will be more significant in lowering the highs on Sunday. Temperatures by then will be in the lower 60s. Overnights lows could be in the 40s, with surrounding suburbs in the 30s.
