For over 30 years, this legendary pasticceria and bakery in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, has been using high-quality ingredients imported from Sicily to produce edible works of art that are the most authentic Italian delicacies found in NYC.
The magic of Villabate started years ago in the small town of that name in the northern region of Sicily where Angelo Alaimo and his son Emanuele began the family business by baking bread and then popular sweet treats for the residents. After years of hard work Angelo and Emanuele followed their dream of bringing the best in Italian baking to others, transferring their talents for baking super breads and pastries to the U.S.A.
Initially working for years as simple bread-makers in bakeries all over Brooklyn, in 1979 Angelo and Emanuele finally realized their goal of opening their own place, which soon became widely known as the shop offering the finest in Italian bakery creations. Today, 33 years later, it remains a family business owned and run by three generations dedicated to delivering only the most authentic Italian goods to loyal customers while giving back to the community that has contributed to their success.
On Tuesday, October 15th between 11 am and 2 pm, we are inviting customers to come enjoy famous homemade canolli’s made from fresh ricotta cheese imported from Sicily.
