Bizarre love triangle behind fake bombs in Staten Island: cops

Police have a suspect in custody in connection with a series of bomb scares in Staten Island.

Cops believe Omar Duran, 54, was obsessed with his married neighbor and tried to frame her husband by setting the devices. Cops were able to identify Duran from surveillance video.

Duran brought up the husbands name during questioning, as he was allegedly trying to break them up.

Duran has been charged with placing a false bomb in connection to the devices.  Three were found on September 2, 12 and 14 placed along quiet residential streets.

The last one was reportedly discovered inside a backpack in Grymes Hill with a note listing a name and address.
