The harvest moon will light up the sky once again this evening. Temperatures tonight will be at around 60 degrees. Most of the surrounding suburbs will be in the 50s later tonight.

High pressure will stay in control for tomorrow. Winds from the south will allow temperatures to go into the upper 70s for most of the area. With the sea breeze, temperatures across Long Island will hold in the low to mid 70s in the afternoon.

Skies will begin to cloud up Saturday afternoon as a cold front begins to creep its way toward our area. The clouds should hold the temperatures down into mid 70s. Showers will develop in the evening and should continue into the overnight hours. Heavy downpours along with a few embedded thunderstorms are possible from time to time.

The showers could taper off as early as Sunday morning. Skies will then gradually clear out by the afternoon. Highs will top out at around 70 degrees.
