(PIX11) — A menorah fire that broke out just hours after Rosh Hashana is no longer being considered suspicious.

That’s according to Police who investigated it as a possible hate crime. It happened yesterday in the Kensington section of Brooklyn.

A trash pile went up in flames and police say the fire may have spread to the nearby Menorah. It was being investigated as a hate crime because of its timing with the Jewish New Year, but Police say it looks like an accident and smokers may be to blame.
