(PIX11) — Three young men were supposed to be celebrating a birthday but their night ended in violence. Now two of them are dead and the other is wounded and in the hospital.
Relatives say 25-year-old Fuquan Davis, his brother Jalil Henry who was turning 24 and another man were all shot while in a car in front of their uncle’s house at 216 Vassar Avenue about 2 a.m. Friday.
The shots killed Henry on his birthday and his brother. Their grandmother Mardrella Davis rushed to the scene. “They got shot in the car . That’s all I know. My daughter came and told me somebody called and said they had got shot and they are dead.”
Charles Pryor lives down the street and says he heard the shots. ” I heard six shots ring out. Pow, pow, pow. Then I heard a girl. She was screaming my brother my brother.”
He went on to say, ” I walked up the street and I saw one guy behind the wheel. He had his head back and a face full of blood. After a while they pulled 2 other guys out of the car. they weren’t moving. I don’t know if they were dead or what.”
The other man was rushed to the hospital with two gunshot wounds to the chest. No word on his condition or why the men were shot.
