Justin Timberlake is apparently making a surprise performance at iconic rock club Maxwell’s on Washington St. in Hoboken, New Jersey, Wednesday night after announcing it on Twitter.
At 7:32 p.m. JT tweeted: “Join me & @Target tonight for just one song. Let’s “Take Back the Night.” First 150 get in. See you there! #MoreJT pic.twitter.com/mxHkgHOhQL”
According to the Jersey Journal, he is indeed there and despite the short notice there are “thousands of people” in front of the club and spilling into the streets. Police are calling for people to stay on the sidewalks outside of Maxwell’s, which is located at the bustling corner of Washington and 11th St.
Timberlake is apparently working with Target to film a commercial inside the famous club, which closed July 31st after 35 years. The restaurant/club attracted acts ranging from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to The Strokes, and even became the set for Bruce Springsteen’s “Glory Days” video which was filmed in May of 1985.
