(PIX11) — A warm front is heading into the region, bringing a few showers this evening. We don’t expect them to be on the heavy side, but that could change as we head into Thursday.

Temperatures will not be as cool as last night, with lows at around 70.

It will be mostly cloudy Thursday with scattered showers mainly in the afternoon. A gusty thunderstorm is also possible with winds of up to 60mph.  It will be quite humid with temperatures in the lower 80s.

By Friday, the cold front will finally push through the area in the afternoon. Expect another round of scattered showers and a few gusty thunderstorms especially in the afternoon. Temperatures will rise to the low to mid 80s.

When all is said and done, we can expect around an inch of rainfall for the city. While widespread flooding is not expected, any heavy downpour during the next two days could possibly cause flash flooding.
