BROOKLYN (PIX11) – During a press conference Thursday, Spitzer refused to deny rumors of having an extra-marital affair.

Each time he was asked about it, he ignored or deflected the question, but refused to deny the rumors outright.  Spitzer has been living apart from his wife, Silda Wall, while running for NYC comptroller.

Unlike Huma Abedin, Wall has not appeared by his side on the campaign trail.

A reporter badgered Spitzer at the Brooklyn press conference, asking him three times about the girlfriend rumors.  Spitzer would only reply, “I am so tired of the personal attacks and I’ve answered all those questions.”

His return to politics comes five years after he resigned as governor after admitting he regularly had sex with prostitutes.
