NEWARK (PIX11) – Surrounded by screaming fans at the Prudential Center in Newark on Tuesday, Justin Bieber threatened to stop the performance if his screaming, adoring fans didn’t stop throwing things on stage — and, when they didn’t, what did he do?  Why he put a fan’s tossed cell phone in his underwear before tossing it into the crowd.

“Do you guys want me to keep performing or what? Bieber asks.  “Refrain means DON’T throw things on stage.”

Perhaps in an I-just-lost-my-mind moment of fantasy in which The Biebs puts his number in and hands it back, one fan decided to throw a smart phone on stage.

“I say don’t throw stuff on stage and this is what they . . . they throw a phone on stage,” Beiber said, right before it got weird.  “I do need a new iPhone,” he said before stuffing the phone all the way into his underwear and grabbing his crotch as the the crowd loses its collective mind.

After laughing and walking around the stage with the phone in his underwear Bieber finally digs it out and throws it to another fan on the other side of the stage.
