MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS (PIX11) – Police need your help to catch a suspect wanted for a string of violent subway robberies in Upper Manhattan.

The latest incident occurred Wednesday afternoon in Morningside Heights when a man was riding the A train, and as he was passing through the station at 110th Street and Cathedral Parkway, police say the suspect assaulted and then robbed him. The man suffered injuries to his face and went to the hospital.

He is not the only one to get seriously hurt.

There have been four incidents in past week on the A and C trains and platforms in Harlem and Morningside Heights.

Police say the suspect broke one victim’s jaw bone and punctured another victim’s lung.

Police released surveillance video from the first incident, you can see the suspect running through the turnstiles.

Police say his MO is to go up to the victims and ask them for the time, then as they look down to get the time, he catches them off guard and assaults and robs them.
