(PIX11) –  Jo Jo K.  John is being charged with vehicular manslaughter.  Authorities said he was intoxicated when he smashed the boat he was operating into an anchored barge on the Hudson River near the Tappan Zee Bridge.

The Barge was being used for construction materials for the new Tappan Zee Bridge and the NYS Thruway Authority says it was properly lit at the time of the crash Friday night.

The body of bride to be Lindsey Steward was pulled from the river Saturday afternoon.   The crash also seriously injured the groom to be and ejected the best man, Mark Lennon,  into the water.  His body has not been recovered.

Robert Van Cura of the Rockland County Sheriff’s office says John is being charged with 1 count of vehicular manslaughter and 3 counts of vehicular assault.

The other hospitalized occupants of the boat were all expected to survive.

The search for Lennon is expected to continue Sunday morning.
