80-year-old man killed by MTA bus in front of horrified pedestrians
NEW YORK (PIX11) - Authorities say an 80-year-old man was struck by the bus around 10:30 Wednesday morning.
He was going against the traffic signal at the intersection of Third Ave. and East 20th St. when he was hit, police said.
“The bus hit him, he … came back on his right side and he was just (rolling),” said one man. “Oh my god I don’t even want to talk about it.”
The man was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. He was later identified as Boris Kidreman.
The bus driver remained on the scene.
