Four injured after fire truck jumps curb, crashes on Brooklyn street

NEW YORK (PIX11) — As many as three firefighters were injured Monday after their fire truck jumped a curb, crashing into a minivan before careening onto the sidewalk.

The truck, which was on its way to a call at 11 a.m., jumped the curb at Marcy Avenue and Hewes Street in Williamsburg.

The driver of the minivan was seriously injured in the collision.  The firefighters were taken to Bellevue with minor injuries.

FDNY officials said the call the truck was headed to turned out to be a false alarm.
