BROOKLYN (PIX11)– Cops are on the hunt for a man who caused quite the stir in a Brooklyn neighborhood early Saturday morning.

Authorities say the man snatched a purse off a woman then tried to drive away but ended up crashing into a home.

The Nissan Maxima took out a three-foot brick wall, a wrought iron fence, a bush and a stop sign, when it smashed into the home on Beverly Road.

The homeowner told police the suspect got out of the car and fled the scene on foot, purse in hand.

Two people were inside the car at the time of the accident, they have been taken into custody.

Cops are trying to figure out if they were involved in the robbery.
