It’s safe to say that two cute kitten faces are better than one.

On Tuesday morning, a kitten was born in Amity, Oregon with not one, but two faces.  Two noses, two mouths, and four eyes. To add to the bizarre birth, the kitten was born at 6:11 am and Tuesday’s date was June 11th.

The kitten, named Deucy, had been abandoned by her mother and was later found by children who then ran and told their mother, Stephanie Durkee, to come outside and take a look.

Deucy was born with diprosopus, an extremely rare birth defect that causes animals to have double features. Animals diagnosed with diprosopus usually do not live long.  However, there has been a case of a cat with the defect that has lived into adulthood.

Deucy’s vet says, according to Durkee, that the kitten is healthy and all internal organs are working properly.

The kitten is currently being fed her formula with a syringe and being kept warm in a drawer lined with warm towels.
