RINGWOOD, New Jersey (PIX11) – During a Wednesday training exercise for the West Milford diving team, divers found a submerged car in the Wanaque Reservoir.  Inside the car was a badly-decomposed body of a woman who North Jersey sources identify as Cathy Ann Debono, missing since 2008.

While doing a routine dive, they came across a 2004 Toyota Corolla that, on closer inspection, had a garbage bag with human remains in the back seat.  The car is reportedly registered to Debono, who lived in Oakland, New Jersey.

The Medical Examiner has not yet confirmed whether or not the badly-decomposed body is indeed that of Debono.
