‘The Running of the Balls’ raising awareness for testicular cancer

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

Testicular cancer is the most common type of cancer in men ages 15 to 30, with one man being diagnosed in the U.S. every hour of every day. But, when found early testicular cancer is 99% curable.  The Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation’s The Running of the Balls event will help spread that message.

All event participants are asked to bring one brand new sports ball (baseball, basketball, football, etc.) to the event. They may either run with their balls and hand in later, or donate prior to start time. Toys of Hope will be collecting donated balls and distributing them to needy children and their families in the NYC area.

The Running of the Balls is taking place on Saturday, June 15th at 10am on Roosevelt Island. For all the details log onto: seankimerling.org.
