Parents are outraged at an assignment their kids had to complete at a pricey private school on the Upper West Side.

Students in an English class at York Prep School, were required to write first-person suicide notes.

They were instructed to say goodbye to their loved ones and explain why they killed themselves.

The teacher wanted students to write from the perspective of a character in a book, who kills herself.
