It was set up as a feel-good reopening of the Jersey Shore after Sandy, but it appears there may still be some bad blood between Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi and Governor Chris Christie.

After Christie and Snooki, along with fellow cast member ‘J-Woww’, Deena Cortese, had just finished separate ‘Today’ show segments when they crossed paths.  Polizzi, 25, reportedly stopped Christie to to ask why he had been critical of the MTV reality show.

Snooki went on Instagram and Twitter after Christie apparently had some frank replies for the mother of one.

Video of the meeting captures Polizzi firing back at the governor, “Why are you standing so close to me?”

Christie leans even closer and responds with a grin, “You asked for my opinion.”  Cortese tries to defuse the awkward moment by telling the governor she’s from the Garden State, to which he replies matter-of-factly “I know you are, I was talking about her.”

Snooki adds, “I just wanted to meet you, and just, hope you start to like us.”  The governor shakes hands with both of them, but Polizzi turns to the camera and explains, “He just doesn’t like us.”

The governor has been critical of the Jersey Shore in the past, blasting the tanned fist pumpers for their portrayal of New Jersey’s beach culture.

A politician that doesn't like tramps and sleaze bags, someone give that man a medal. Seriously.
But then again, not even Clinton would dirty a dried out Cremosa Cubana within that circle of jerks. Instead of a humidor he would be sporting the latest Jersey Shore fashion craze….lip herpes. Think about that for a moment. Maybe this is just the reaction anyone of sound mind and body has around trashy people. If you are wearing a white outfit you don't exactly care to hug the auto mechanic at just that moment. Especially if he has been working on a pinto with spinner knock-offs named Snooki.
