NY marine killed in Afghanistan

Flags across the state will be flown at half-staff on Thursday to honor a New York marine killed in Afghanistan this week.

39-year-old Staff Sergeant Eric Christian was one of two marines killed when the Afghan soldier he was training turned his weapon on him.

The Warwick native was serving his fifth tour in country.

The Defense Department says they’re investigating the incident.
