A new posh building called the Jupiter 21 right on 2nd Avenue and First Street, where the legendary Mars Bar used to be.
How much would you pay for a condo here?
Over a million, right?
How about just ten bucks?
Who says you have to be a millionaire to buy real estate in NYC?
They practically are giving away these apartments.
Nine very lucky people who were displaced by construction will be able to buy an apartment here for $10 tax free as part of way to balance luxury rentals and commercial space with much needed affordable housing, said Joseph Ferrara, principal of BFC Partners, the developer of Jupiter 21.
The $10 apartments are all taken but there are four still available for a very low price –$150,000, much less than market value.
The catch — your income has to be over $37,284 and less than $55,000 yearly per household.
And there are maintenance fees anywhere between $500 per month to approximately $1,000 depending on the size of the apartment.
Families can start moving in the next few weeks.
Interested in applying? The application is not yet available, but should be in about two weeks.
