Super storm Sandy victims getting more federal aid

New Yorkers affected by Sandy are about to start seeing some much needed help from the federal government.

On Friday, city officials joined Governor Andrew Cuomo to announce the approval of the Housing of Urban Development Recovery Action Plan worth $1.7 billion.

The money will go towards funding a number of rebuilding efforts.

Governor Cuomo said eventually the state will see about $35 billion from the feds to help the state rebuild.
