LOWER EAST SIDE (PIX11) — There’s a new art gallery raising eyebrows on the Lower East Side. Some say it’s art, while others say it’s just too much.

Several families have already complained about the new Natalie  White exhibit on Delancy Street, so much so that the NYPD attempted to shut it down.

PIX11 wanted to see what all the fuss was about, and we got a grand tour of the controversial new gallery.

One of the top biggest complaints at the gallery: an array of photographs of White masturbating.

Monica Morales has more in her report.

What's the big deal? Art is supposed to make people experience different feelings, open their mind, be controversial. If you don't want to see it, DON'T GO TO SEE IT. I really can't stand, or understand, people who try to get things banned/closed/in trouble because it includes things that other people don't want to see or think about.

Freedom of speech and the cops want to shut it down. This country is going down the shitter and fast.

I see no problem with this at all. The 1st Amendment protects freedom of expression. As long as the subjects of the art are consenting adults, there should be no problem. If you don't like it, don't go into the gallery.

There's no such thing as freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of the press, not without consequences. You know that. This is America, sillies.
