Brooklyn rapist has women watching their backs

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (PIX11)- As officers are hoping to track down a man who apparently attacked a couple of women and he’s still on the loose.

Surveillance video captured on April 6th shows the man police are searching for.

He’s described as a Hispanic man, about 5-foot-10 weighing 165 pounds.

Last seen here wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

According to police the footage was taken the same day as the man’s second attack on a woman in her late 30’s.

We’re told he approached his 37-year-old victim from behind inside a building.

He pushed the woman to the ground, demanded money and when she told him she didn’t have any we’re told that’s when he raped her.

A month prior to that assault on February 1st, officers say he approached a 39-year-old woman from behind on Woodbine Street, also pushed her to the ground and fondled her.

That victim was able to fight back and get away, but others in the area fear the man could still be lurking around.

Police remind us in both cases, the women were approached from.

To all the women who are reading this story. Learn to defend yourself. Take up jiu jitsu, judo or muay thai. Don't look at the ground while your walking down a street. Stop texting and walking at the same time. Be aware of your surroundings, be alert because these rapists are looking for women who are gullible and not paying attention. I know parents tell their little girls not to look at anyone on the street, well this needs to stop because you do need to look. You don't have to stare at men eyes but at least your making it known that I see you. Once these criminals see you looking at them, there's a better chance they will not make a move on you. There will always be rapists out there so be careful.
