VIDEO: Boston Marathon marred with two explosions; at least 3 reported dead

BOSTON (PIX11) — Two explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon have left several injured and at least three dead, published reports say.

The pair of explosions happened just before 3 p.m. Monday near the finish line inside the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel.

Video of the blasts show that they occurred within 15 seconds apart. Emergency crews were seen tending to victims amid the chaos.

Gruesome images of the scene first surfaced on Twitter where blood stained the pavement and sidewalks of the finish line.

    What possible reason could someone have to bomb a bunch of people just enjoying a sporting event? What animal that passes for human could even come up with that idea?

    This one sounds like it’s particularly vicious.     still in total shock about all this going on, Its time for the US to relieze that we are not as safe as we thought, and need to be more alert to strange behaviors at major events..
