Ruben Ubiles is being questioned at the 81st PCT in connection to the burning if at least a dozen mezuzahs in Williamsburg.
Ubiles posted several Facebook comments defending himself but police say the comments point the finger at Ubiles.

Police used face recognition software and social media to zero in on Ubiles.
Mezuzahs are small containers with religious scripture hung on doorways of  the homes of Jewish Families that symbolize protection.

Zalmen Wurzberger’s mezuzah was torched, he said “It was painful, if religion is not safe then no American is safe.’

Ubiles 35, maintains his innocence.
Police arrested Ubiles 37 times since 1997, his long criminal record includes robbery, burglary, assault and drug possession.

On Facebook, Ubiles comments are misspelled and he states he’s getting his life together. Members of the Jewish Community just want justice.

Ubiles has not been charged as of 10pm Wednesday night.
