NEW YORK (PIX 11)- If being one of the biggest names in entertainment wasn’t enough… Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z has started the process of divesting his small share of ownership with the Brooklyn Nets to put in some real work as an NBA agent under his Roc Nation business.

According to Yahoo! Sports, Jay-Z needs to sell his share of the Nets in order to obtain his National Basketball Players Association certification as an agent.

The Roc Nation company has merged with Creative Artists Agency which has already signed Yankees All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano.

The process for Jay-Z to become an agent will be completed in time for Roc Nation to compete for players entering the NBA draft in June.
