NYPD ready for possible Easter wilding by gangs in Times Square

It’s happened before, in 2010.

Dozens of suspected gang members…accused of going on a so-called “wilding” in Midtown. There were more than 50 arrests.

Once again, as the world’s automakers prepare to showcase their vehicles at the New York Auto Show at the Jacob Javitz Center, a law enforcement source tells Pix11 the NYPD will have adequate resources in place to handle any incidents that may arise.

The added police presence will be prepared this Easter Sunday, just in case history repeats itself, where roving groups of young people met up at the Javitz center, and reeked havoc as they made their way to Times Square.
