Brooklyn church to absolve warrants along with sins

Project Safe Surrender is taking place in Brooklyn this weekend.

It gives people a chance to settle outstanding warrants at a local church.

A judge and several clerks will be there to help people to get driver’s licenses and avoid jail. Members of the clergy will also be on hand.

There are about two hundred fifty-thousand warrants in Brooklyn right now for marijuana possession, littering and other minor offenses.
