Wal-Mart may get customers to deliver packages to online buyers

Walmart is considering a plan to have actual store customers deliver packages to online buyers.

It’s a concept called “crowd sourcing” or the “sharing economy”.

The company is hoping to cut transportation costs and gain an advantage over Amazon and other online retailers who have no physical stores. The idea would face many legal, regulatory and privacy stumbling blocks.  Walmart execs say the idea is in its early planning stage.
