The NYPD is telling it members to keep it clean on social media.

An internal memo was made public today and it asks the rank and file to “demonstrate professionalism” when posting on Facebook, Twitter or any other social media outlet because their credibility may be undermined.

Officers are not permitted to mention that they are on the police force and they cannot pose in uniform for pictures.
