Monday’s crash shut down a quarter mile stretch of the Meadowbrook Parkway for hours and police said Boedeker, who was driving a GMC pick up truck, drove into a disabled Nissan Maxima. The two men with the Maxima were killed almost immediately.

Boedeker remained employed with Suffolk County Community College as of Tuesday evening. The college provided PIX11 with a statement to say “While not officially contacted, we understand through news reports that the individual involved is one of our employees. As this is an ongoing police investigation, the College will wait until it can review the outcome of that investigation.”

Boedeker is expected back at court on March 7.
