First lady Michelle Obama is not only on a mission to get the nation’s children fit with her “Let’s Move” campaign — but also insists dogs need to “move” too.
Mrs. Obama talked about dog fitness during her Google Hangout chat on Monday, where she said every member of the family should be accounted for.
“Dogs are no different,” she said. “You want to make sure they are eating a balanced diet, and if they are not an active dog, make sure that their food is reflective of an inactive dog and then get them out there and throw that ball and get them running.”
Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign is now in its 3rd year and is slated to expand into several more schools across the country with a $50 million dollar subsidy from Nike.
