One man has died and the other remains in critical condition after both fell through a partially frozen lake while fishing Tuesday afternoon in Bloomingdale, New Jersey.
One of the men, Frank Ferrell, 52, was wasn’t conscious when first responders recovered his body and began performing CPR techniques, according to NJ.com. He was pronounced dead just after paramedics brought him to Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pequannok, police said.
The other man, identified as Theodore Andreniuk, 49, remained conscious and was screaming for help. He managed to keep his head and arms above the ice. Andreniuk was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center via helicopter.
The accident come after two teens died in another ice-fishing accident, that one in a Morris County lake.
