The next system in a series of storms will affect us Saturday through early Sunday.

For the snow lovers, there is simply not enough cold air to go around to sustain snow for the coastal sections. 20-30 miles from the city, a seven-to-eight-hour period of mixing is possible at the onset. Those areas also will go over to rain and then back to snow Saturday night into sunday.

Sixty miles away from the city, a plowable snow is possible but even those areas will mix with rain before going back to snow.

The precipitation type is not track dependent because there is not enough cold air around to give everybody a snowstorm.
