The body of Sarai Sierra arrives at Willowbrook funeral home after flight from Istanbul

(Staten Island, New York) A shroud-covered container carrying the body of murdered Staten Island mom, Sarai Sierra, arrived at the Matthew Funeral Home–in the Willowbrook section of the borough–just after 8 pm Thursday night.

Sierra’s body was picked up at John F. Kennedy airport by funeral home employees, after a flight from Istanbul, Turkey.

Sierra was discovered beaten to death February 2nd, near the ancient walls of Istanbul. Her husband, Steve–a city bus driver–had flown to Turkey in late January, after she failed to return home from a solo journey overseas.¬† Sierra, an amateur photographer, had claimed she wanted to experience Istanbul’s rich culture.

Steve Sierra made burial arrangements at the funeral home with Sarai’s mother Thursday afternoon, but no family members were there when the body arrived Thursday night. Sierra will be buried late next week.

Published reports from overseas Thursday said a Turkish man questioned by Istanbul police told investigators he had consensual sex with Sierra, the day before she vanished–but had nothing to do with her death.

My heart goes out to the family and my deepest condolences. I hope justice will be served and the person responsible for this horrific crime will be put to justice! This is so sad, it angers me! But there is a god and we must keep the faith…. I have you in my prayers.

Absolutely, this is a tragedy.God knows the motives and intents of all people and seeks justice for those who were wronged.Let's just hope her intentions of the trip were innocent and not for a rendezvous as this guy Taylon is claiming.Condolences to her husband, children and family.God has to Judge all sin and the person or persons who did this will definitely be dealt with.If her intent was to have an affair and she confided in someone and told them that's what she was going over there to do,they also have to give an account to the Lord.Keyword IF.

RIP Sarai Sierra, no matter what you did not deserve to die in such a brutal way. Justice will be done and I am sure they will find who did this to you.

We would like to thank you once again for the beautiful ideas you offered Jeremy when preparing a post-graduate research as well as, most importantly, pertaining to providing many of the ideas in a blog post. If we had known of your web-site a year ago, we will have been rescued from the nonessential measures we were taking. Thank you very much
