Thursday is the 49th anniversary of The Beatles’ landing in New York — and the start of a phenomenon that is still with us.

Look back at the 1994 report filed by Marvin Scott on what was then the 30th anniversary of the historic event.

Jack Cafferty introduces the piece, and Marvin reports from The Plaza, where as a young reporter he covered the story in 1964.
