It was ‘the best morning ever’ for PIX11 Morning News anchor Sukanya Krishnan.  She was ecstatic  to be in the presence of reggae royalty—Mr. Jimmy Cliff.  The music artist, who is up for a Grammy for his new album “Rebirth,” commented on the much-talked about Volkswagon Super Bowl commercial featuring a white male talking with a Jamaican accent.  Cliff’s rendition of “Come On, Get Happy” is featured in the ad.

This legendary music artist’s career spans almost 50 years.  He’s best known for his Billboard Top 40 hit “Wonderful World, Beautiful People,” “The Harder They Come” and “Many Rivers to Cross.”  The latter two songs are featured on the soundtrack “The Harder They Come” which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.
