NEW YORK (PIX11) – Two dozen Hurricane Sandy victims hit the streets to protest Wednesday, claiming the American Red Cross turned its back on them.

The Red Cross initially helped homeless storm victims with weekly $100 allowances but that has since dried up.

They were also put up in hotels for temporary shelter, but many are now getting eviction notices.

The Red Cross say it’s not their responsibility to be housing homeless storm victims.

They insist that the city should be assisting these evacuees.
