The 38-year-old father was holding his son when he was approached by two men at 2 p.m. at Herbert Von King Park in Bedford-Stuyvesant, authorities said. Witnesses said they overheard one of the men point to the father and say “that’s him.”
Shots were then fired at the father and boy as the dad ran toward a community center. Two shots were fired as he entered the building and another one was fired inside, authorities said.
The father was struck once in the right hand, and his son was injured in both arms. Both were taken to Kings County Hospital and are said to be in stable condition. The injuries are not life threatening.
The 79th Precinct is about a block away and a detective there, looking out the window, saw one of the suspects — a 19-year-old man – fleeing north on Lafayette Avenue and then south, entering a building where he lived.
He was apprehended in the building’s basement. Officers also found additional rounds in the basement. Police are still looking for an accomplice.
The Emergency Service Unit’s heavy weapons teams were looking for the second suspect. Authorities were also scouring for the weapon and additional evidence

what kind of animals would shoot at a man while he's holding a two year old? Total disregard for life and society. I hope never to hear of them again ..or at least 25 years.
