Police in Norfolk, Virginia, received a call Tuesday morning to report an escaped lion cub in the street, but it was actually just a Labradoodle groomed to resemble the mascot of Old Dominion University, Big Blue.Charles

With the bob left at the tip of his tail, the large tufts of fur around the feet and a long, full mane, he has certainly resembles a lion.  He is, however, a lovable pooch named Charles the Monarch.

In fact, his owner Daniel Painter often tells people he’s a Lab-alion, and, he told 13News, “Half the people believe that.”
