According to an annual freshman survey, U.S. college students are still pretty stunned by how awesome they are.

Results found that students currently have a very high confidence in their own importance and talents, even if such attitudes based on actual accomplishments or skills.

The Cooperative Institutional Research Program Freshman Survey “covers a wide range of student characteristics: parental income and education, ethnicity, and other demographic items; financial aid; secondary school achievement and activities; educational and career plans; and values, attitudes, beliefs, and self-concept.”
